Who sends them

PHW Southwest, PLLC — the clinic at 8323 Southwest Freeway, Suite 105, Houston, Texas 77074. Messages come from our own toll-free number.

What we text you about

Your appointments, your paperwork, and your care at this clinic. Nothing else. We do not send advertising, offers, or anything about another company's products.

Our messages never name a medical condition, a body part, a diagnosis, or the reason for your visit. That is a rule in our software, not a habit, and it is there so that a text on a screen somebody else can see does not tell them anything private about you.

How you join

By ticking the box next to your phone number on our intake form and no other way. We do not add anyone from a list, a purchase, or a phone call, and we do not text people who have not ticked it.

If you never tick the box, we will never text you. Our system refuses to send to a number it holds no permission for.

How often

Message frequency varies. It depends on your appointments and on whether we are waiting on paperwork from you — most people get a handful of messages around a visit, and nothing in between.

What it costs

We do not charge you anything. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan. Ask your mobile carrier if you are not sure.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. That stops them immediately and you do not have to explain why.

You can also tell the front desk, in person or on the phone, and we will record it the same day. Stopping texts does not affect your care in any way.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or call us at (281) 857-4989. This number does not receive replies other than STOP and HELP — if you need to tell us something, please call, because a reply typed into a text will not reach a person.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and you should not rely on a text to reach us in an emergency. In an emergency, call 911.

Your information

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes. How we handle the rest of your information is on our Privacy Policy page.
